My blog today is dedicated to a former student of mine, Jason Campos, who is graduating, Cum Laude, tomorrow from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. I am so proud to be a part of his life and also to have had an influence on him in deciding his career! As a Sixth Grade Teacher, I loved teaching about the Ancient Civilization and felt it was important to make history come alive for my students. It did have an impact of Jason, who has received a scholarship to travel to China this summer and study Chinese History. Upon his return he will head up to Massachusetts to work on his Doctorate in Colonial History.
I made this card especially for Jason and I know he is going to like it. The image is a digital from Mo Manning called "Glad Grad Boy". Graphic 45 paper was used from their Communique and Fashionista Collection. The berry red and black cardstock is from World Wine Paper. The sentiment is computer generated using a font called, chalkdust. A thin gold ribbon and a graduation hat brad were used for the embellishment.
The inside of the card is finished with the same papers with a quote from one of my favorite authors, Dr. Seuss!
Copic Markers were used to color the image. They included: C2, C4, C6, C9, B91, B93, B95, Y15, Y17, E000, E02, E21, E23, E25 and W1. The background is airbrushed with BG000.
I love it! I am so happy with the way it turned out and I hope you like it as well. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and please check back tomorrow! Oh and if you have the time, please leave a comment.
Happy creating!
Hugs,
